Going to Poland

I leave tonight on an all-night train for Poland! I will be back in Prague on 4 Nov and probably won't have any internet access until then, so you'll just have to wait for upcoming posts about the High Holidays and a visit from my friend Misha this week. Ciao!

The White Sox won the world Series, 4 games to none over the Houston Astros. They went 11-1 in the playoffs, matching the 1999 Yankees for the best postseason record in the wild-card era. As such, you should be everything you own on the Cubs to win in a sweep next year. Enjoy Poland!

The White Sox win was amazing!!! After watching them my whole life and getting used to their string of failures, it was wonderful to see them finally chase away their ghosts.

As for the Cubs, what would happen to Chicago if it didn't have at least one set of lovable losers?

Glad to hear you enjoyed Krakow -- hope the trip to Poland is meaninful.

Dad
