I got your lovely card today. Thank you so much. I didn't do much partying during the week because everyone was busy and I thought I'd make up for it this weekend. We lost an absolute heartbreaker to UCLA, 47-40, but the game was much closer, and we had three separate double-digit leads, but we couldn't hold any of them. That obviously killed any party atmosphere and sent all the Cal fans home dejected.
On a better note, the White Sox swept the Red Sox to go to the ALCS. They'll play the winner of the Yankees-Angels series, which is going to Anaheim for Game 5 tomorrow night. The Astros beat the Braves 7-6 in 18 innings (yes, eighteen) to advance to the NLCS against the Cardinals. The Braves were winning 6-1 in the eighth before Lance Berkman hit a grand slam. Then Brad Ausmus (go Jew Power!) hit a two out solo home run in the bottom of the ninth to tie it. Chris Burke hit a walkoff homer in the bottom of the 18th. Roger Clemens pinch-hit in the 15th and then pitched three scoreless innings for the win. It was his first relief appearance since 1984.

Hope your trip continues to go well and you have an east fast.
